This feature has been requested for literally as long as I can remember, and now it's here. Instead of having to exit out to the home screen and look at the MeterBerry icon to view your battery, memory, etc. info, now you can see that same info without interrupting what you're doing on your phone - reading emails, browsing, etc. - because that same info can now be displayed in the banner area.

Choose between battery level, device temperature, or free application memory. The colors of the icons will change just like MeterBerry's main home screen icon. And just like the main home screen icon, the thresholds at which the colors change can be adjusted to your liking in MeterBerry's options.
Estimated Battery Time Remaining

Another long-requested feature, MeterBerry now estimates the remaining time until your battery fully discharges. This estimate is based on the calculated average battery discharge rate. Just like the discharge rate, the more data and time MeterBerry has to make its calculations, the more accurate this will be. If you have no average discharge data, either because you just fully charged your phone or you reset the discharge rate manually, the remaining battery time will read "Unknown". Once your battery discharges a few percentage points, you will get an accurate reading of your estimated battery time remaining.

The estimated battery time remaining can also be selected as a home screen icon, along with the existing battery level, temperature, free application memory, change in application memory since startup, and time since last reset icons. And just like the existing icons, you can change the thresholds at which the colors change.

4- Remember:


1-Almost of registration codes for blackberry apps are generally 5 characters long in numeric format, unless the developer decided to get super creative, they made it longer and become alphanumerical, and others get two serials, one Key and one Activation Code

2-Most Blackberry apps are pin specific, others like PhonebakBB and PhoneBakup are IMEI specific which means that when you discover one working key for one pin or one IMEI it doesn’t always mean it will work on all other berries.

3-When searching the memory map in olly or winhex, your search string could sometimes be in UNICODE, however i only noticed some Blackberry app thus far.

4-When searching for serial in the dump sometimes the first search result isn’t the only instance. while in the dump do CTRL+L (in olly) or search next (in winhex) to see if your bogus serial shows up more than once. with some apps the reg code shows up right away and with others you have to look for it. i also noticed that some times the reg code appears around your pin number, you might get lucky with some apps if you search for your pin number in ASCII while in the dump window by doing CTRL+B. generally, once your first search result pops up in the dump window you may need to scroll up or sometimes down several pages until you find your valid reg code.
sometimes you have to convert your pin into decimal for some apps like wififiletransfer, and search for it in the dump memory, sometimes the serial will be near the error message you get when you enter a wrong serial, search for this error (ex: serial invalid, wrong registration code,...etc)

please note that all hints are for reference only, that means if you have different os, different CPU, different simulator, different hex viewer, you not get the same result
other hints will be poster later

5-Remember, you may not be successful with every app when it comes to finding a valid reg code. while in the dump window you will see 5 digit number 45654, this is a port number and not a serial. you will also see PURG followed by some numbers, this is not a serial either. when you download trial apps make sure the app has the option to register by inputting a serial which would make the app fully registered, otherwise some apps are just demo apps with expiration or limited functionality, these are not trial. we are not cracking the apps with this method but just finding the right codes for our pin.

6-You will be unable to crack some new apps version, try to crack the old one, install it on your blackberry and update to the new one, the apps will stay registerd in almost of time excepl for some

7-Some apps like that dont have any visible icons in the simulator can be only cracked once used.

8-Some apps cant be loaded in the simulator, there is only one way to load it its to add the code file into the simulator intallation folder so it can be loader automaticaly once the simulator start

9-Use Dmpclean.bat everytime before starting to clean the simulator’s memory to default.

Hack 90% of BlackBerry Trial versions: Time Hack Method

Dear friends,

Almost of trial blackberry software are time limited fonction, in order to make the trial longer instead of 7 days you can have 70000 days, unlimited access.
once downloading trials from their official websites or some online store follow those instruction:

1- Change the date on your blackberry to a date in the future a few years or however long you'd like (ex: jan 1th 2020)
2- Make sure to make source off
3- Restart your BB with battery pull
4- Install all trials you want,
5- Open the applocation
6- Close it and restart your devise with battery pull
7- Change date back to normal.
8- Enjoy!


Note: if you already installed the software before changing the date, its unnecessary to change the date and reinstall it again, there is only one sollution: "Wipe the device", try it on your own risk.

----------------------Wipe the device-------------

1- Uninstall the application that you want to hack using the time hack method

Now we will back up all data:

2- Connect your phone to your desktop manager
3- Chose backup and restaure in the menu -> backup
4- safe your back up on a file, (contacts, notes, tasks, email, personal date, .......everything)
5- now disconnect your blackberry
6- You can also back up your serials and activation codes, just note it in a paper

now the wipe

7- Go to options > Security Options > General Settings > Menu (blackberry menu key) > Wipe handheld
8- the device will ask you to include or not the third party applications, dont check it (if you check it you will lose all installed apps)
9- press continue
10- now write "blackberry" (without quotes ", its just to prevent kids from wiping your phone)
11- pull your battery to restart the phone again

Now connect your phone to the DM to restaure your data

12- Connect your phone to your desktop manager
13- Chose backup and restaure in the menu -> restaure
14- select the file you saved and confirm

Now your blackberry is same before, you can try the time hack method

Hacking BlackBerry Apps for Dummies Volume 2 - Using WinHex

This is a step by step guide on how to use WinHex and get your serials.


This is will give everyone all the information needed to get them yourselves.

For anyone who asked to get the Serials for you, well I wish I could but unfortunatelly there have been to may requets and not enough time in a day.

I hope this Tutorial will help everyone, I read a bunch of tutorials online and I was more lost then when I started.

Please read before:

I received a lot of PM from many members asking me to repost this thread that was delated, to help other ppl who still dont know the cracking secret of the Blackberry Apps.

The idea is same cracking any computer software using a debugger so nothing new but the way changed, some forums (like "PDAxxx" and others) claims that its their idea, its wrong, the idea was posted first time on an american forum "crackbexxy" and was delated cause its agains their policy, and then was treated on "Srintgxxxs" forum, now this forum is dead, and then the secret was keept on a few forums for months, there is some members who know that and they keep it secret to get more credits, reputations and popularity.

I come today to offer this guide to all my ipmart friends, and broke this secret, and this post will be up to date than any other forum.

someone will tell me:

- why dont keep it secret, the developers will made new changes and the cracking process will be harder?
i will tell them that there is always a solution for any problem, for ex. Nokia, nokia is the biggest company and RIM is nothing beside Nokia, you can go and have a look in the moding section for nokia on this forum, we always find a solution to crack nokia apps and nokia phone security.
and it will be so boring to get all serials for all software.

NB: Cracking is against law, and this guide is for information only, i dont take any responsibility on any software you cracked, and/or installed on your device. you can always read and check developer license agreement.



Here is the detailed guide using ollydbg as debugger, you can also use winhex, it gives the same result, i made some changes on the guide to fit the new apps.

Tools :

1- Blackberry jde Download Here chose the version same your device version, if you dont know, hold "alt+shift" and press "H"
note: always try to download the old version cause RIM know about this method and the fixed some new simulator versions
2- Olly debugger Download Here: Version 1.10 (Stable) or Version 2.00 Beta
3- MDS Services Simulator (optional, required for some email software) can be downloaded here
4- Dmpclean.bat (attached)
5- Our target app - Ascendo Datavault (download @ hxxp://www.ascendo-inc.com/DataVault.html)


How To? :

1-Download and install blackberry jde version of choice, chose the version same your blackberry version, to check your device version hold "alt+shift" and press "H"

2-when the installation is complete.
click start > programs > research in motion > blackberry jde 4.x.x locate device simulator icon > right click and go to properties then click on find target. create a shortcut of defaultsimulator.bat on your desktop or the quick launch menu, whichever you prefer.
copy dmpclean.bat into your simulator’s folder, by default it should be c:\program files\research in motion\blackberry jde 4.x.x\simulator basically the same folder where the defaultsimulator.bat file is located. once copied, create a shortcut of dmpclean.bat as well next to your defaultsimulator.bat shortcut on the desktop or quick launch.

3-Right click on shortcut to defaultsimulator.bat and choose edit, at the end of the text you will see /pin=0x2100000A change this value to your blackberry's pin, and behind add your IMEI without any quotes (necessary for some IMEI verified applications) , and save it.
For example, if my pin number is 24d25d8a and my IMEI is 357880.00.879598.5
then the parameter would look like this /pin=0x24d25d8a /IMEI=357880008795985

4-Launch the device emulator by double clicking on the shortcut to defaultsimulator.bat icon. be patient, it takes some time to load the
simulator as it has the same feel as your blackberry. (note, jde 4.5.0 or maybe even lower versions start up much faster).
Go to View -> "keep lcd on" to avoid flushing the memory dump
To be sure your pin is being read correctly, navigate to options > scroll down to status and check for your pin.

5-To install an application into the simulator click on file > load java program> point to the DataVault.cod “our target app” then navigate to downloads and run the program. go to register, it shows our pin “good” and it’s asking
for the registration code else it will expire. leave it (dont close it)

6-let's launch the debugger now. double click on ollydbg.exe, once loaded click on file then choose attach. the attach window opens up very small, simply stretch by pulling it from the right buttom corner so you can see the
running programs on your computer. we are looking for a process name titled fledge with a path to the executable which should look like the following -c:\program files\research in motion\blackberry jde 4.x.x\simulator\fledge.exe - select this process and click attach. as it
finishes loading all necessary files the debugger will pause, simply press F9 once or twice to continue or sometimes SHIFT + F9, depending on olly’s mood. leave it (dont close it)

7-Now go back to the simulator and enter any facke code, untill you see the message "field full" (we will enter the following as your code 97531) then press arrow down ↓ and click on register. note: do not enter 1234567... as your bogus serial ever because most likely you will end up nowhere. after pressing enter or clicking to register a window comes up saying “Wrong Key!”. we knew that. leave it (dont close it)

8-Now go back to the debugger window (OllyDbg), then click on do an ALT + M to open the memory map, and select the first line in the memory map window. then do CTRL + B to search for the number we entered in the ASCII field and enter 97531 as your search string and click oK.

it begins to search in the memory for our bogus serial, a window titled dump pops up shortly showing the 97531 number we entered in the application > right below it shows our pin number > further down our serial is being constructed > finally we see the serial 42350 which happens to be the correct serial for my bogus pin number 24d25d8a.

9-To test our discovered registration code let’s switch to the simulator window and enter it to see what happens, well just as we hoped it would be “you have successfully register..."

1. Load your BB simulator.
2. Load up OllyDBG & attach the simulator.
3. Load up Aerize in your BB Simulator.
4. Put any 5 random number in the registration box, enter it and it wil show Invalid Serial Number etc.
5. Go to OllyDBG and press alt+M for memory map, highlight the first row.
6. Next, press ctrl+B to search binary and search for "Invalid Serial" without the quotations.
7. The Dump window will open up after the search, close it and press ctrl+L, close the window again and press ctrl+L again.
8. Now you will see your BB PIN in the Dump window.
9. In the Dump window, press ctrl+L and search for 5 numbers. Search for it up and down. It's usually a few lines above the word "Invalid Serial". (Do this step at least 6 times.)
10. Once you see 5 random numbers, it should be your Aerize product serial key.

For all aerize products, the serial is always after (several pages) the string "127 & i + key 777" after searching your fake serial, serach for "127 & i + key 777" the serial is always near, but remember that if you cant see it, remember to search next, cause this string appear many times in the dump.

How to change your BB's PIN and IMEI?

First you need:
- Radiolab Tool
- MML Setup and MFI Multiloader All files
- A copy of OS you want on your device (search in OS section)
- NET Framework 2.0

1. Connect your BB and make a back-up of anything on it you would like to keep as we will be erasing its contents including the OS.

2. Download and install NET Framework 2.0 if you don't have it on your computer

3. Download MML_Setup.exe and install it

4. Download MFI Multiloader All files, unzip it to "C:\MML" and overwrite all files

5. Connect your BB to your computer with usb cable. Do not start the desktop manager.

6. Open the MFI Multiloader, it will recognize your phone and will wipe all contents from the phone.

7. Look at the screen on your BB while the program is compiling, when the screen shows a large 1 in the upper left corner, close the multiloader.

8. Open the Radiolab Tool. It contains a program which looks similar to CDMA Workshop. Under the available views tab there is a tab marked ID. Highlight the ID tab.

9. Make sure your BB is still connected to your computer. Click the connect button located in the top left corner of the Radiolab Tool. On the lower screen it shoould say connected.

10. On the right screen you will see IMEI, BSN, BBPIN, and other lines. Click read on the IMEI line, it will read the IMEI from your phone. Replace the old IMEI with the new IMEI you want on your phone. Click write and it should be written to your phone.

11. On the BBPIN line click read. Replace the old BBPIN with your new Pin and click write.

12. After writing the pin click the disconnect button located next to the connect button on the radiolab tool.

13. Now all you have to do is load your OS back onto your BB.(don't ask me how to, you can load it with the loader or with the nojava comand, a lot of sotware are availaible).
